The family of renowned Pakistani anchor and ARY journalist Arshad Sharif has confirmed that he has been shot dead in Kenya.
Young journalists left Pakistan after the change of Imran Khan Government and moved abroad.
His wife Jawaria Siddique confirmed the news in a tweet and appealed to them to take care of their private life in this grief.
His family has also confirmed the incident in Kenya, but it has not yet been clarified what were the motives behind Arshad Sharif's death.
According to Arshad Sharif's channel ARY, he was killed in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. He was shot at a place two hours away from which he could not survive.
Arshad Sharif's wife has taken to the social networking website after the incident to request that his privacy be respected.

Arshad Sharif was long associated with Pakistani news channel ARY News, CEO of ARY News. Salman Iqbal has also expressed regret by tweeting in this regard.

On March 23, 2019, he was awarded Pride of Performance by the President of Pakistan for his services in journalism. Arshad Sharif was hosting the program Powerplay on ARY News in Pakistan till the last days.
He served as news director in Today TV. Before joining Aaj, he was hosting Dunya TV's news team as the director of news and the program Why.
During August 2022, he lost his job at ARY due to one of his programs and since then he has been running his own YouTube channel until his death.
